We Just Wanna Be On The Beach!

I hate travelling by boat. I have this eerie feeling that the boat would stop working in the middle of the ocean and we'll get stranded. Or something bad will happen to the boat and we will be eaten by sharks.

Crazy?

I know.

However, I cannot pass out the chance to go back to Calaguas (even though i vowed never to return after my barfing incident 2 years ago). So even if I have apprehensions with this beach trip, I still decided to come. Plus, I have my best friend, Yani, in tow so I don't have the heart to deprive her of this beautiful island called Calaguas.

Pleasantly enough, the trip was very smooth. There were no big waves to make my tummy turn upside down. The boat cruised very fast so the trip didn't felt like it was super long. And the good part was the boat didn't stop in the middle of the ocean (thank God!). When we got there, there were so many people and I started reminiscing the time when we went there and there were few people in sight. Peace and quiet.

Anyway, so with my cam-whoring and beach loving cousins and friend, we decided to enjoy the white sand and the clear water. Everything is a photo opportunity.

Since it's the beach, we cannot let the moment pass by without showing our killer bodies (that was my overconfidence talking). There were sexy and feeling sexy pictures (you have to decide which is which). My younger cousins have muscles. Man, they're all grown up.


There were successful and failed jump shots (mostly failed). I was amazed with my cousin, Kuya Rex, who is such a big man but can still apparently do jump shots.


Any photo opportunity wouldn't be complete if there aren't any candid shots....

After being burned by the sun..we all went home thinking that it was one of the best summer ever. And everybody is looking forward for another trip in Calaguas....

Honestly, this is one work trip that I particularly hated. Not that I don't like South Cotabato (I'm actually in love with Mindanao and its provinces), but I had to go through a lot of shit just to make  this trip happen.  Anyway, to probably appease everyone's annoyance for being sent in a training in the middle of a very busy month, we were actually allowed to go to Lake Sebu. Another option would be to ride a bus going to Surallah and then ride a jeepney to Lake Sebu The first Falls is the Hikong Alo which is the widest and the easiest to reach of all the Seven Lakes. The Jakarta trip was probably one of the most tiresome international travel I had to take despite all the convenience we were provided. For one, the trip was mostly spent working. We were either in meetings with our Indonesian partners or we were in the conference facilitating workshops and doing logistical work. Adding to the stress of the conference, I had to endure stomach problems and a fever during the first few days. Thankfully, the conference was a success despite all the roadblocks and I felt better by the start of the conference.  I would no longer give general information about Jakarta because you'll see that in the internet anyway. However, I would like to describe Jakarta to be a cleaner and greener version of Metro Manila. Pinto Art Museum

I am not artsy. I am the "exception to the rule" when they say that left handed people are good with drawing or painting or any visual arts. However, it doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good artwork when I see one. Or I am just pretending to really appreciate art. Anyway.... I've been hearing good reviews and seeing amazing pictures of the Pinto Art Museum. According to all this information online, this Museum in Antipolo, Rizal is operated by Silangan Foundation for Arts, Culture, and Ecology, a non-profit organization. What sets this museum apart from any other museum is how it has incorporated nature in the presentation of the artwork.
