Amazing Singapore

For a country that is only as big as Metro Manila, you would have to admire Singapore for being one of the richest countries in Asia (or if my memory is correct, in the world also). They have no natural resources and yet they were able to be on top. Singapore is also home for at least 150,000 Filipinos (or so our tourist guide said). More than half of those Filipinos are working as professionals (e.g. teachers, engineers).

I spent four days in Singapore with my sister and I felt that the four days weren't enough to actually explore the small country. People who said that you can do it in a day is probably lying to you. There are so many places to see and experiences to try.

Universal Studios Singapore

My sister and I love to go to amusement parks whenever we travel abroad. We were suppose to go to this amusement park when we were in Bangkok years ago but since my mom wouldn't enjoy it, we decided to go to a zoo instead. So when we traveled to Hong Kong without any parents, we super enjoyed our Disneyland adventure. And so when we planned our Singapore trip this year, we only had one thing in our mind: Universal Studios!! We really enjoyed it. The place was full of activities.  We tried as many rides as we can. However, there were rides that were so scary to try that we decided not to do it. I also loved seeing those characters like Po, Woody Woodpecker, Shrek and Charlie Chaplin. I felt bad I wasn't able to see Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop. The whole day spent in USS was really worth it.

Merlion

No trip to Singapore will be complete without seeing the famous Merlion. The Merlion is the official mascot of Singapore. It is said to be a mythical creature that has the head of a lion and the body of a fish. It was supposed to be spewing out water but for unknown reasons, it wasn't doing it.

MRT
Singapore's MRT is easy breezy. When we first did it, we were scared because their's was different from what we have in Manila. From how the ticket was bought to what you need to do with the ticket when you're finish with it. However, after the first try, it was a piece of cake. When I go back to SG, I know I wouldn't be ignorant in riding their MRT anymore

Asian Civilization Musuem
This museum is the home of different artifacts that shows the rich asian cultures. In each gallery, there are exploration zones where you can actually touch the display. They also have people in a screen that will explain things to you. This was the only museum we were able to go to but I bet the others are just as awesome

There were places we were not able to go to like the Esplanade, Singapore Flyer and Sentosa because we have a tight schedule. However, when I come back to this little country, I promise to visit those places.
